The exhibition 《inConversation》 explores the mental and emotional significance of "home" through the lenses of Korean artists Yoomi Ha and Junseok Mo. This showcase marks the opening chapter of a year-long, four-part collaboration series with the contemporary brand SYSTEM.
Here, the home is redefined not merely as a place of dwelling, but as a relational simulacre where collective history and personal experience intertwine. The two artists employ their unique artistic languages to trace how past memories and present experiences converge to shape the trajectory of our lives.
The central element weaving through the exhibition is "The Line." Far from being a mere boundary of form, the line serves as a conduit of interconnection, linking the individual self to broader social dynamics.
- Yoomi Ha projects figures onto monochromatic backgrounds, unfolding an "intimate visual diary" where thoughts and memories flow. Her work, at once familiar and disorienting, guides the viewer through a temporal labyrinth of overlapping dimensions.
- Junseok Mo gives form to the ambiguity of dreams and memories through delicate copper wire and stained glass sculptures. His architectural constellations illustrate how individual identity dissolves into a collective vision, highlighting the fundamental value of human relationships.

Yoomi HA
Born in 1982 and based in Paris, Yoomi HA views the "home" as a medium imbued with lived experiences, creating an intimate visual diary of thoughts and memories. Her paintings feature figures that are simultaneously familiar and disorienting, set against flat monochromatic backgrounds—an aesthetic that echoes the humanized, futuristic industrialism of mid-century graphics.
Her professional career includes solo exhibitions at Galerie Espace Sorbonne 4 in Paris (2021) and the "Imaginary House" exhibitions at the Médiathèques of Solliès-Pont and Fontenay-aux-Roses (2022). She has also been actively showcased in numerous group exhibitions at prominent venues, including the Korean Cultural Center in Paris.
Née en 1982 et installée à Paris, Yoomi Ha utilise la « maison » comme un médium imprégné d’expériences vécues, tel un journal visuel intime s’ouvrant sur un paysage de pensées et de souvenirs. Combinant une esthétique rappelant l’industrialisme humanisé et futuriste des graphiques du milieu du siècle, ses œuvres mettent en scène des figures à la fois familières et désorientantes sur des fonds monochromes.
Elle a présenté son travail lors d’expositions personnelles à la Galerie Espace Sorbonne 4 à Paris (2021) ainsi qu'à la Médiathèque de Solliès-Pont et de Fontenay-aux-Roses avec son projet « La maison imaginaire » (2022). Yoomi Ha participe également régulièrement à des expositions collectives dans des institutions prestigieuses telles que le Centre Culturel Coréen à Paris.
1982년생으로 현재 프랑스 파리를 기반으로 활동하고 있는 하유미 작가는 ‘집’이라는 매개체를 삶의 경험이 투영된 사적인 시각적 일기로 풀어냅니다. 작가는 1950년대 그래픽 디자인의 인본주의적이고 미래주의적인 산업 미학을 현대적으로 재해석하여, 친숙하면서도 낯선 인물들의 형상을 평면적인 단색 배경 위에 그려냅니다.
2021년 파리 에스파스 소르본 4(Espace Sorbonne 4)에서의 개인전을 비롯해, 2022년 프랑스 솔레샤르트르 및 퐁트네오로즈 미디어도서관에서 열린 《상상의 집》 개인전 등을 통해 꾸준히 작품을 선보여 왔습니다. 또한 파리 한국문화원 등 프랑스 현지의 다양한 주요 예술 공간에서 열린 단체전에 참여하며 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있습니다.
L’exposition 《inConversation》 explore, à travers les regards des artistes coréens Yoomi Ha et Junseok Mo, les significations mentales et émotionnelles de la « maison ». Cet événement inaugure avec élégance le premier volet d’un cycle de quatre collaborations prévues sur un an avec la marque SYSTEM.
Dans cette exposition, la maison n'est pas simplement un lieu de résidence, mais un simulacre relationnel où s’entrelacent le passé collectif et l’expérience personnelle. Les deux artistes utilisent leurs langages plastiques respectifs pour retracer la manière dont les souvenirs et les vécus façonnent la trajectoire de nos vies.
L'élément central de cette rencontre est la ligne. Bien plus qu'un simple contour, elle devient un canal d'interconnexion reliant le sens de soi aux dynamiques sociales.
- Yoomi Ha projette des figures sur des fonds monochromes, créant un « journal visuel » où coulent pensées et souvenirs. Son travail, à la fois familier et désorientant, invite le spectateur dans un labyrinthe temporel où les dimensions se superposent.
- Junseok Mo façonne le flou des rêves et des souvenirs à travers des sculptures délicates en fil de cuivre et vitrail. Ses œuvres, semblables à des constellations architecturales, illustrent comment l'identité individuelle se fond dans une vision collective, soulignant la valeur des liens humains.

“집은 단순한 물리적 공간을 넘어, 자아 성찰과 사회적 상호작용의 은유가 됩니다.”
전시 《inConversation》은 한국의 두 아티스트, 하유미와 모준석의 시선을 통해 ‘집’이라는 매개체가 지닌 정신적, 정서적 의미를 탐구하는 자리입니다. 이번 전시는 현대적인 감각을 대변하는 브랜드 SYSTEM과 1년간 이어질 총 4회의 협업 프로젝트 중 그 서막을 알리는 첫 번째 전시이기도 합니다.
이번 전시에서 ‘집’은 단순히 머무는 장소가 아니라, 공동체의 과거와 개인의 경험이 얽히는 심리적·관계적 모의물(simulacrum)로 재정의됩니다. 두 작가는 각자의 독창적인 예술적 언어를 통해 과거의 기억과 현재의 경험이 어떻게 맞물려 우리 삶의 궤적을 구성하는지 추적합니다.
전시의 중심을 관통하는 핵심 요소는 ‘선(Line)’입니다. 여기서 선은 단순히 사물의 윤곽을 그리는 경계를 넘어, 개인의 자아와 사회적 역동성을 잇는 상호 연결의 통로가 됩니다.
- 하유미 작가는 단색의 배경 위에 인물을 투영하여 내면의 생각과 기억이 흐르는 풍경을 ‘시각적 일기’처럼 펼쳐 보입니다. 그녀의 작업은 친숙하면서도 낯선 감각을 자극하며, 관객을 시간과 공간이 중첩된 미로 같은 여정으로 안내합니다.
- 모준석 작가는 섬세하게 엮은 구리선과 스테인드글라스를 통해 꿈과 추억의 모호함을 형상화합니다. 작은 집들이 모여 하나의 군집을 이루는 그의 조각은, 개인의 정체성이 어떻게 집단적 비전으로 녹아드는지, 그리고 그 사이를 흐르는 관계의 가치가 무엇인지를 건축적 조형미로 보여줍니다.

Junseok MO
Born in Ulsan and currently based in Paris, Junseok Mo holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Plastic Arts from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, following his B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture from Kookmin University. From 2021 to 2023, he served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Plastic Arts at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Junseok’s artistic excellence has been recognized through various awards, including the Prix du Public at the 11th Icart Artistik Rezo (Paris, 2019), the Excellence Award at the 14th Oita Asian Sculpture Exhibition (Japan, 2018), and the Grand Prize at the Korea Christian Art Award (2013). His works are held in prominent collections, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) Government Art Bank, the Oita Asakura Fumio Museum, and the Pohang Museum of Steel Art.
Né à Ulsan et basé à Paris, Junseok Mo est diplômé d'un doctorat en arts plastiques de l'Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Entre 2021 et 2023, il a exercé en tant que professeur adjoint au sein du département des arts plastiques de la même université.
Son travail a été récompensé par de nombreux prix internationaux, notamment le Prix du Public au 11e Prix Icart Artistik Rezo (Paris, 2019) et le prix d'excellence à la 14e Exposition de sculpture d'Asie d'Oita (Japon, 2018). Ses œuvres font partie de collections prestigieuses telles que le Musée National d'Art Moderne et Contemporain (MMCA) en Corée, le Musée Asakura Fumio au Japon et le Musée d'Art d'Acier de Pohang (POMA).
울산에서 태어나 파리를 기반으로 활동하는 모준석 작가는 국민대학교 미술학부 및 동 대학원 입체미술전공을 졸업한 후, 프랑스 파리 1대학 판테온 소르본(Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)에서 조형예술학 석사 및 박사 학위를 취득했습니다. 2021년부터 2023년까지 파리 1대학 조형예술학과 겸임교수로 재직하며 학술 활동과 창작을 병행해 왔습니다.
작가는 제11회 Icart Artistik Rezo 미술상 대중상(파리, 2019), 제14회 오이타 아시아 조각전 우수상(일본, 2018), 대한민국기독교미술대전 대상(2013) 등을 수상하며 국제적인 역량을 인정받았습니다. 그의 작품은 국립현대미술관 정부미술은행, 일본 아사쿠라 후미오 박물관, 포항시립미술관 등 주요 기관에 소장되어 있습니다.
