inConversation is a series of exhibitions curated by Alice Montanini, inviting artists from AJAC - the Association of Young Korean Artists in France - to System. This collaboration, unfolding throughout 2026, aligns with System's mission to promote Korean artistic sensibility and aesthetics, both to French audiences and internationally.
The first exhibition brings together Yoomi Ha and Junseok Mo, exploring the home as a metaphor for identity and introspection. Through the diversity of their media and approaches, it emerges as a shared simulacrum, defined less as a physical space than as a mental and relational one, where collective past and personal experience intertwine. The line is another central element in the work of both artists. Far from merely defining the contours of objects, it traces interconnections that link our sense of self to social dynamics, while shaping the way space unfolds.
The second exhibition brings together the photographic work of Haeun Kim and the site-specific installations of Miji Yoon. Drawing from the natural world, the exhibited works share a striking tactile quality found both in the porous, folded surfaces of Yoon's paper-based works and in the palpable grain of Kim's crepuscular prints.

inConversation est une série d'expositions sous le commissariat d'Alice Montanini, invitant les artistes de l'AJAC - l'Association des Jeunes Artistes Coréens en France - à System. Cette collaboration, qui s'étend tout au long de l'année 2026, s'inscrit dans la mission de System de faire rayonner la sensibilité artistique et l'esthétique coréennes, tant auprès du public français que sur la scène internationale.
La première exposition réunit Yoomi Ha et Junseok Mo autour de la maison comme métaphore d'identité et d'introspection. À travers la diversité de leurs médias et approches, elle émerge comme un simulacre commun, défini non tant comme un espace physique que mental et relationnel, où passé collectif et expérience personnelle s'entrelacent. La ligne est un autre élément central des œuvres des deux artistes. Loin de se limiter à définir les contours des objets, elle trace des interconnexions reliant notre sens de soi aux dynamiques sociales, tout en façonnant la manière dont l'espace se déploie.
La seconde exposition réunit le travail photographique de Haeun Kim et les installations in situ de Miji Yoon. Puisant dans le monde naturel, les œuvres présentées partagent une qualité tactile saisissante - perceptible à la fois dans les surfaces poreuses et plissées des œuvres en papier de Yoon et dans le grain palpable des tirages crépusculaires de Kim.
Alice Montanini is an independent contemporary art curator and writer based in Paris. Her practice approaches exhibition-making as a research-driven space, focusing on site-responsive projects, phenomenological approaches, and narratives that challenge dominant social and systemic structures, informed by decolonial and depatriarchal perspectives. She has worked with a range of international institutions and galleries, including Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art and Whitechapel Gallery in London, as well as BUILDING in Milan. Montanini holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Bologna and a Master's degree in Curating Contemporary Art from London Metropolitan University. Her recent curatorial projects include Flashbacks (2022) at BUILDINGBOX, Milan, bringing together works by artists such as Vincenzo Agnetti, Leiko Ikemura, Roman Opałka, and Remo Salvadori; and Embodied Histories (2024) at the Fondazione Marta Czok in Venice, presented within the framework of the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, introducing in Italy the work of Zimbabwean artists Peter Musami and Mukudzei Muzondo. She previously co-curated Private Exposure (2016) at me Collectors Room Berlin and Dialogues of Space (2015) at the Korean Cultural Centre UK.
Alice Montanini est une commissaire d'exposition indépendante basée à Paris. Sa pratique envisage la conception d'expositions comme un espace de recherche, avec un intérêt particulier pour les projets site-specific, les approches phénoménologiques et les récits qui interrogent les structures sociales et systémiques dominantes, informés par des perspectives décoloniales et dépatriarcales. Elle a collaboré avec un ensemble d'institutions et de galeries internationales, notamment la Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art et la Whitechapel Gallery à Londres, ainsi que BUILDING à Milan. Montanini est titulaire d'un Master en Philosophie de l'Université de Bologne et d'un Master en Curating Contemporary Art de la London Metropolitan University.
