inConversation is a series of exhibitions curated by Alice Montanini, inviting artists from AJAC to System. This collaboration, unfolding throughout 2026, aligns with System's mission to promote Korean artistic sensibility and aesthetics, both to French audiences and internationally.
The second exhibition brings together the photographic work of Haeun Kim and the site-specific installations of Miji Yoon. Drawing from the natural world, the exhibited works share a striking tactile quality found both in the porous, folded surfaces of Yoon's paper-based works and in the palpable grain of Kim's crepuscular prints.
Working with fragile, everyday materials, Yoon creates immersive spaces where presence and disappearance, intimate and collective memory converge. Her white flowers cascading from the ceiling shaped through careful processes of assembly and epidermal manipulation, hold together the organic and the spiritual, drawing on Korean associations of purity, remembrance, and mourning.
Kim approaches photography as a mode of existence: water becomes her privileged terrain of abstraction, a mirror of both surrounding nature and inner states a shifting surface onto which light and melancholy alike are allowed to settle. Inscribing her work in the long tradition of landscape as emotional self-portrait, she dwells in the gap between what is seen and what the image ultimately retains.
In dialogue, these works invite us to encounter nature not simply as it reveals itself, but as it echoes within us shaping our emotional and sensory experience, and enriching our layered sense of self.

Miji Yoon is a South Korean artist based in France since 2012. Through installation, photography, and the use of fragile materials such as sugar, paper, or light, she explores the links between intimate memory, collective memory, territory, and forgotten narratives. Her practice is grounded in field research conducted in various geographical and historical contexts. Using everyday materials, vernacular archives, or landscape elements, she creates immersive environments where presence and disappearance, memory and transformation meet. Photography holds a central place in her work, which she conceives as a space for fragmenting and recomposing reality. She holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has taken part in several residencies and exhibitions in France, South Korea, and Taiwan, as well as the 2025 Daegu Photo Biennale. Winner of the 2020 Paris x Berlin open call, she was also a finalist for BMW Art Makers in 2023. In the summer of 2026, she presents an outdoor photography exhibition as part of the BZH PHOTO festival in Loguivy-de-la-Mer (Brittany, France). Originating from a creative residency conducted in March 2026, this series will be displayed throughout the summer along the harbor in an open-air installation activated by the wind and tides, with an opening preview scheduled for June 12, 2026.
