About AJAC

Established in 1983, Association des Jeunes Artistes Coréens (AJAC) stands as the oldest Korean art organization overseas. Dedicated to fostering the talents of young Korean artists in France, AJAC promotes artistic endeavors across various disciplines, creating a vibrant and diverse community.



Membership Criteria for 2025

AJAC invites applications from young Korean artists in France engaged in dedicated artistic pursuits. We welcome artists from various disciplines, including but not limited to painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, multimedia, and performance art. Eligible candidates should be actively involved in artistic endeavors within the borders of France.



Eligibility


  • Young Korean artists born on or after January 1, 1985,
    are eligible to apply (up to 40 years old in 2025).

  • Artists engaged in painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, multimedia, and performance art.

  • Artists actively working within the artistic landscape of France, contributing to the vibrant cultural milieu.



Application Documents

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) in Korean and French.

  • Artist statement in Korean and French.

  • Portfolio with images of up to 10 works created within the last 3 years. (Artwork descriptions in Korean and French.)

  • Completed 2025 AJAC New Member Application Form
    (available in early November).


All documents should be compiled into a single PDF file not exceeding 10MB. For video works, please provide a link.




Application Period

  • Application Form available:  Early November each year.

  • Application Deadline: TBD - in early November each year.



Selection Process

  • Interviews will be scheduled for early December each year.

  • Result Announcement: Individual notifications will be sent via email after the interview.
