KIM Jina(b.1989) explores the cinematographic and literary world through her videos and photographs which are embodied somewhere, between the sentences of others and her own writings. The textual report which is fundamental in her work, inscribes a form of narration through which she seeks to capture moments that escape.
She likes to retrace small innocuous moments that arise on a daily basis, during exchanges between real people. If her writing is impregnated with loneliness, it is the encounter with others and the process of construction of each that unites the beings she tries to capture. This allows her to travel in time and share intimate experiences, to then flourish through the exchange she makes with others. It comes back to the question of our own existence, what we ultimately take with ourselves.
Since 2019, recent works have been deeply inspired by animal rights, environmental issues, anthropology and social issues since the artist works in parallel in a research organization affiliated with the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
KIM Jina(née en 1989) explore le monde cinématographique et littéraire à travers ses vidéos et photographies qui s’incarnent quelque part, entre les phrases d'autrui et ses propres écrits. Le rapport textuel qui est fondamental dans son travail, inscrit une forme de narration à travers laquelle elle cherche à capturer des instants qui échappent.
Elle aime retracer de petits instants anodins qui surgissent au quotidien, lors d’échanges entre personnes réelles. Si son écriture est imprégnée de solitude, c’est la rencontre vers autrui et le processus de construction de chacun qui unissent les êtres qu'elle tente de saisir. Cela lui permet de voyager dans le temps et partager des expériences intimes, pour ensuite s’épanouir à travers l’échange qu'elle fait avec les autres. Cela revient à la question de notre propre existence, ce qu’on emporte finalement avec soi-même.
Depuis 2019, les œuvres récentes sont profondément inspirées des droits des animaux, des questions environnementales, de l'anthropologie et des questions sociales depuis que l'artiste travaille en parallèle dans un organisme de recherche affilié au ministère la Transition écologique.
