Whether virtual images or artificial installations, Kim,BU Jaeyoung(b.1993)'s work brings together the possibility of new perceptions. It is always with new technology that humans find the other possibility of self-perception. Her interests are linked to the plurality of the Self, caused by the ambiguity of being. In her work, spectators are placed in both the real and the virtual. Their simultaneous sensations render the body experience ambiguous. Her works are created without boundaries, using interactive installations, virtual reality, videos and objects.
In her research, she adopts physical theories to her conceptual approach. However, to ensure that the experience of space-time, which applies relatively to individuals, does not lead to isolation, she proposes to combine her scientific approach with a sociological one.
Qu’ils soient des images virtuelles ou des installations artificielles, les travaux de Kim,BU Jaeyoung(née en 1993) réunissent la possibilité de nouvelles perceptions. C’est toujours avec la nouvelle technologie que les humains trouvent l’autre possibilité de la perception du soi. Ses intérêts sont liés à la pluralité du Moi, causée par l'ambiguïté de l'être. Dans ses pratiques les spectateurs sont situés à la fois dans le réel et le virtuel. Leurs sensations simultanées rendent l'expérience corporelle ambiguë. Ses œuvres sont réalisées, sans frontière, avec des installations interactives, de la réalité virtuelle, vidéos et objets.
En recherchant, elle adopte les théories physiques à sa démarche conceptuelle. Cependant, pour éviter que le ressenti des espaces-temps, qui s'applique relativement aux individus, n'aille dans le sens de s'isoler, elle propose d’allier son approche scientifique avec une approche sociologique.
