Influenced since her childhood by the artistic professions of her parents, such as photography and journalism, she naturally gravitated towards photography. It was after her mother's illness that photography became more than just a mere act of taking pictures. Nothing is permanent, but she sought a way to leave a trace that would last forever. That was photography. She started taking photos with her mother. For her, photography is evidence of existence, a trace of time, and a way to immortalize it.
Wanting to capture the passing time and immortalize it, her gaze turns towards the inner world of humanity, from nostalgia to pain. From self-portraits to landscapes, she explores the world in which she moves, lives, dies, and constantly rises up.
LEE Songhee(b.1993) finds this intersection of inner worlds in nature. She captures the meeting point of these two worlds, the point where nature and the inner world intersect - by combining the outer and inner worlds to visualize the possibility of a new world as a third place, she expands her artistic vision.
Influencée depuis son enfance par les professions artistiques de mes parents, telles que la photographie et le journalisme, c’est naturellement qu’elle s’est orientée vers la photographie. C'est après la maladie de ma mère que la photographie est devenue plus qu'un simple acte de prendre des photos. Il n’y a rien de permanent, mais elle cherchait un moyen de laisser une trace qui durerait éternellement. C’était la photographie. Elle a commencé à prendre des photos avec sa mère. Pour elle, la photographie est une preuve de l'existence, une trace du temps et une façon de l’immortaliser.
Voulant capturer le temps qui passe et l'immortaliser, son regard se dirige vers le monde intérieur de l'humanité, de la nostalgie à la douleur. D’autoportraits en paysages, elle poursuit le monde dans lequel elle se déplace, vit, meurt et ressuscite sans cesse.
LEE Songhee(née en 1993) trouve cette rencontre de mondes intérieurs dans la nature. Elle capture l'intersection de ces deux mondes, le point où la nature et le monde intérieur se rencontrent - en combinant les mondes extérieur et intérieur pour visualiser la possibilité d'un nouveau monde en tant que tiers-lieu, élargit sa vision artistique.
